Obituary for Ruth J. Terrill

Ruth Josephine Terrill, 80 of Coldwater, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital. In accordance to her wishes cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
She was born September 26, 1942 to Henry and Ruth (Ballien) Klimkewicz in Saginaw, MI. On May 5, 1990 Ruth married George E. Terrill and he preceded her in death on February 26, 2002. Ruth was a motivated woman that began her working career as one of the first line women with AT&T and ultimately retired as a maintenance technician. She was a dedicated member of the Coldwater Moose Lodge, she served as the secretary of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary K11 in Arcadia, FL, and was also the past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star in Mason, MI. Ruth was crafty, artistic, and thoroughly enjoyed crocheting, but her passion was woodworking. Ruth will be dearly missed as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Ruth leaves behind her children Theresa Velez of Leslie, MI, Troy Anklam of Flint, MI; her sister Jane Teckentien of Saginaw, MI; her sister-in-law Patricia Klimkewicz of Vassar, MI; her grandchildren Aretessea Velez-Amsdill, Anthony Avitable, Michael (Holly) Nagel, Elizabeth Anklam; her great grandchildren Jacob, Nevaeh, Acelynne, Anthony; her loving nieces and nephews and very close friends Jan (Dick) Southerland.
In addition to her husband George, she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Philip Klimkewicz.
Memorial donations can be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital or to the charity of your choice.
