Obituary for Ruth Ann Gangaway
Ruth Ann Gangaway, 80, of Coldwater passed away Saturday, July 16, 2022 peacefully at her home in Coldwater. A graveside service for Ruth will be held Friday, July 22, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Sorter Cemetery in Ovid Township. The family is being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
She was born June 9, 1942 to Woodrow and Helen (Johnson) Bussing in Coldwater, MI. On April 23, 1960 Ruth married Carl Gangaway and he preceded her in death on December 28, 2014. Ruth had worked at the West Side Shell station in Coldwater as a cashier and assisted in coordinating the antique car shows held there that she thoroughly enjoyed all the way up until her retirement. In addition to older cars, she enjoyed hummingbirds, giraffes, doing jigsaw puzzles, and watching gameshows. Ruth was talented at crafts, especially crocheting but what she loved above all else was her family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Ruth leaves behind her daughter Helen Snyder of Coldwater; her grandchildren Jerry (Hannah) Englehardt II, Howard Englehardt; great grandchild Heather (Al) Sancen; a great-great grandson Wulf Sancen and great-great granddaughter to be; her several nieces and nephews, special friend Sally Sue Harman Parshall, and her favorite dog Peaches.
In addition to her husband Carl, she was preceded in death by her parents, her son Howard, and her six siblings Rita, Eva, George, Jack, Mary Ann, and Janet.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the family.
