Obituary for Rudolph "Rudy" H. Dixon

Rudolph H. Dixon, 72, of Coldwater, passed away Sunday, January 24, 2021 at his home from complications of Covid. Services will be held at a later date, but cremation has taken place. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home. Rudy was born February 2, 1948, in Mishawaka, IN, to Henry F. and Betty J. (Gibbons) Dixon. He married Helen (Nelson) on February 26, 2005, in Bronson. Rudy worked for many years at Sturgis Molded Products and retired from 20/20 Custom Molded Plastics in Holiday, OH. He attended Grace Christian Fellowship in Sturgis and was an outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and golfing. Rudy enjoyed bowling in past years but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family. Rudy is survived by his wife, Helen; his children, Matthew Dixon, of Bronson and Barbara (Tom) Bertsch, of Murfreesboro, TN; his siblings, Marlene Hoornstra, of Coldwater, Bradford Dixon, of Hillsdale, Stella Gentry, of Florence, KY, Brian Dixon, of Coldwater, Alan Dixon, of Coldwater, Patsy (John) Siler, of Bronson, Connie Wells, of Bryan, OH, and Kelly Trautmann, of Deer Park, TX; his grandchildren, Joseph Sponsler, of Coldwater and Jacob and Lucas Dixon, both of Bronson; his great-granddaughter Zaelynn, of Coldwater; and several stepchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Zachary J. Wojack, and two brothers-in-law, Dean Hoornstra and Hardy Gentry.
