Ronald W. Doan, 77 of Battle Creek and formerly Coldwater died May 24, 2019 at Glenn Arbor Hospice Residence in Battle Creek.

A graveside funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Evergreen Cemetery in Girard with Pastor Kelly Hadlich officiating. Military Honors will be presented by Coldwater American Legion Post #52. Visitation will be Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater from 4:00 – 8:00 pm.

Ronald was born August 23, 1941 to James and Helen (Dailey) Doan in Coldwater. He was married to Shirley (Taylor) Doan until she preceded him in death in 1994. Ron has been with his loving companion Jeanette Brunson since 1996. He served in the US Army from 1963-65 during Vietnam. Ron was a hardworking man spending many years as a set-up operator at Quality Springs, retiring in March of 2004. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially going deer hunting and camping.

Ron is survived by his companion Jeanette Brunson of Battle Creek; his step-son Randy (Anita) Taylor of Coldwater, Rodney Taylor of Detroit, and Brian Taylor of Marshall; Jeanette’s children John Brunson of NC and Janelle Laupp of Ceresco; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Shirley; his twin brother Donald in 1990; and his half-brother Richard Henning.
