I am so saddened to find this out just now and sitting here with tears in my eyes on this loss. Roger had called me on July 4th to tell me he would not make it over to us at Pleasant Lake that day because he had been in the hospital and was currently in rehab. We talked a bit and teased each other as we normally did and since then I had attempted to call him a few times with no success. My wife Kathy, my 3 adult children (Brian, Sara, Adam), and myself (Mike Nahrwold) have known Roger since he came to Pleasant Lake and we always enjoyed seeing him. When we talked he said he would be back out to see everyone as soon as he could. He would tease me about being on a lake and not fishing. We discussed music, family, friends, and recently the loss of his wife Wanda. Roger was a great guy, honest, sense of humor, and he loved family. My family and some of our friends who met him, will miss seeing Roger. May God bless and keep him, his earthly journey is over.
