Obituary for Robert G. Temples
Robert G. Temples, 86, of Coldwater, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Oaklawn Hospital. A public visitation, with a limitation of 25 people at a time, will be held on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 10:00 – 12:00PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. A private service will follow, with interment at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Robert was born August 28, 1934 in Dexter, MO to Thomas & Hazel (Gaines) Temples. He married Mary E. Hogoboom on November 14, 1954 in Coldwater.
Bob worked his entire career at the former Essex Corporation as a shipping foreman, retiring in 1999.
He was a member of the Girard United Methodist Church and enjoyed dancing, with the Merry Mixers Square Dance Club. Bob enjoyed hunting and fishing and was actively involved in 4-H with his children. He was very active with the Masons and the Shriners. Along with his fellow Shriner’s, he would drive his scooter in parades, but he spent a great deal of time driving bus for the Shriner’s Hospital. Above all else, Bob was a dedicated family man and especially enjoyed his grandchildren.
Bob is survived by his wife Mary, his children Jill (Bob) Phillips of Cassopolis, Lewis (Toni) Temples of Loveland, OH, his siblings Linda Hudson of Coldwater, Barb Wert of Cadillac, Dick Temples of Hamilton, IN, Pat (Larry) Manchester of Salome, AZ, Larry (Jennifer) Temples of Waterloo, IN, his grandchildren Ann (Willie) McFarland of Zionville, IN, Alisha Temples and Tim Bedell of Alexandria, VA, Sarah Temples of Fort Mitchell, KY, Dustin Temples and Ryan Temples both of Loveland, OH. He was preceded in death by his daughter Ruth Temples, grandson Matthew Avis, his brothers Jimmy and Thomas Temples,
