Obituary for Robert Carl "Bob" Curey
Robert “Bob” Carl Curey, 71, of Sturgis passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022 at Thurston Woods Village. In accordance to his wishes, cremation has taken place. No services will be held at this time. The family is being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Bob was born September 22, 1950 in Jackson, MI to Claude and Joyce (Bonney) Curey. He owned and operated his family farm in Burr Oak to which he dedicated his entire life. Bob was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, bowling and playing golf; but above all he loved his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his children Joel Curey of Sturgis, Lacie (Shaun Briscoe) Fisher of Sturgis, Danielle (Glendon) Miller of Burr Oak, Tadd (Amy) McMichael of Bronson; his sisters Karen (Dennis) Bradley of Springport, JoAnn (Mik) LaCourt of Houghton; his grandchildren Daniel McMichael, Joci McMichael, Edward “EJ” Miller, Gavan Miller, Reece Miller, Samuel Miller, Tyler Curey, Drake Fisher and Kyla Fisher; the mother of his children, Karen Curey of Sturgis and many nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents.
