Rita Jane Hantz, 75, of Coldwater, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Medilodge in Marshall, MI. A memorial service for Rita will be held at a later date.
She was born October 13, 1945 to Edwin and Leona (Lincoln) Yockey in Coldwater, MI. Rita was a very loving woman that enjoyed nature especially fishing. She also liked to do puzzles but above all she loved cooking for and spending time with her family. She had a giant heart that she filled with her friends, family, and her favorite cat Snowball.
Rita is survived by her sons Fred (Melissa) Hantz of Alliance, OH, Charles (Angie) Hantz of Angola, IN, Kevin Hantz of Coldwater; her sister Myrtle Slusher of Coldwater, three grandchildren Patrick Hantz, Mariah Hantz, Kendall Hantz, her niece Lori McLaughlin and nephew Thomas J. Hantz II that she raised, and more loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son Joshua Hantz; two sisters Dorothy Warner, Doretha Johnson and her three brothers Donald, Richard, and Duane Yockey.
