Obituary for Rebeca Fernandez
Rebeca Fernandez, 72, of Coldwater, formerly of Peru, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022 at her home in Coldwater. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 2:00 PM at St. Charles Catholic Church in Coldwater. Interment will follow at Mason Cemetery in Coldwater. The family is being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Rebeca was born June 9, 1949 in Lima, Peru to Manuel & Rosalia (Ponciano) Fernandez. She married Tomas Morales on February 19, 1970. He preceded her in death on August 21, 2004.
Mrs. Fernandez was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She attended St. Charles Borromeo Church and enjoyed cooking, dancing, spending time with her friends and traveling. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Rebeca had a great charisma and enjoyed making her loved ones laugh. Her heart was filled with love for her family and she will be forever missed and remembered as a great mother, grandmother and friend.
Rebeca is survived by her children Tomas “Yuri” Morales of Peru, Enzo Morales of New Jersey, Rebeca (Arturo) Morales of Peru, Mayra (Robert) Cook of Coldwater; her siblings Jesus Fernandez of Peru, Julio (Lucy) Fernandez of NY, Manuel (Sheryl) Ponciano of NC and 8 grandchildren Sergio Morales, Ignacio Morales, Lucas Morales, Paula Romero, Andres Romero of Peru, Khiara Cook, Thiago Cook and Bianca Cook of Coldwater. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by both of her parents.
