Obituary for Patricia S. Wanar Marshall

Patricia “Pat” Sue Wanar Marshall, 83 of Coldwater passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Promedica Coldwater Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Dutcher Funeral Home of Coldwater at 1:00 pm with Pastor Frank Snyder of Calvary Baptist Church of Quincy officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the funeral beginning at 12:00 pm.

Patricia was born March 5, 1939 to Harold and Carrie (Healy) Crothers in Flint, MI. She married Wallace Wanar on April 19, 1958. He preceded her in death on October 21, 1994. Pat later met and then married James “Jim” Marshall on February 16, 2003 in Coldwater. She spent many years working as a receptionist at Dr. Robertson’s office in Coldwater.

Pat was a woman of strong faith, currently attending Calvary Baptist Church of Quincy. She was an avid reader of the Bible. Pat enjoyed being outdoors, especially taking care of her flower beds and garden. She loved spending time with her family, especially making cookies with her great grandchildren. Pat will be remembered for her kind and loving spirit. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.

Patricia is survived by her husband Jim Marshall of Coldwater; her children Paul (Kaniah) Wanar of Coldwater and Lorrie (Ralph) Tubbs of Goshen, IN; her siblings Clark Crothers of Flint and Roger (Anita) Crothers of New Mexico; her grandchildren Amber (Jeremy) Knox, Ashley (Rick) Hewitt, Austin Wanar, Adrian Wanar, Joshua Tubbs, and Rebecca (Darren) Demis; her great grandchildren Rowen Hewitt, Jocelyn Hewitt, Colton Knox, Eli Knox, Jensen Wanar, and Casey Knox. She was preceded in death by her first husband Wallace Wanar with whom she will be buried next to at Oak Grove; and her sister-in-law Mary Lou Crothers.
