Patricia Delores “Pat” Tyler, 70 of Coldwater passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.

A funeral service will take place at 4:00 pm on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Mark Quinn of the Coldwater Church of the Nazarene officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm. Interment will be at 11:00 am on Friday, May 25, 2018 at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park South in Kalamazoo.

Patricia was born July 4, 1947 to Wallace and Maybelle (Sanders) Tyler in Kalamazoo. She graduated from high school and took a few business courses before moving to Florida. Pat ran her own retail leather good shop in Zephyrhills, FL. She later moved back to Coldwater, working at Walmart for several years as a Customer Service Manager, as well as being part of the risk control team before retiring in 2009 due to health issues. Pat spent 8 years going to Fresenius Kidney Care Coldwater, where she developed a special bond with their staff.

Pat was a woman of faith and a member of the Coldwater Church of the Nazarene. She was a cancer survivor and a proud participant in Relay for Life of Coldwater. Pat was a past member of the Lions Club of Zephyrhills. She had many interests including playing golf, flower gardening, and being outdoors. Pat enjoyed going to the casino on occasion. She will be remembered for her willingness to help people and liking to talk. She will be missed by many.

Pat is survived by her companion, David White of Coldwater; her daughter Dawn Carr of Bronson; her siblings Maxine Steffey of Bronson, Shirley (Ray) Cook of Zephyrhills, FL, Lloyd (Mary) Tyler of Burr Oak; her sister-in-law Doris Tyler of Kalamazoo; her grandchildren Mindy (Adam) VanVleet, Ben (Ashley) Carr, Beth (Jesse) Schippers, Brandon (Kara) Carr, 9 great grandchildren; her ex-son-in-law John Carr; several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her half-sister Christine Guess, brothers Butch, Sam and George Tyler.
