Obituary for Pamela Loomis
Pam K. Loomis, 71, of Quincy, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.
The funeral service will be held Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Jesse Abbott from St. John Lutheran Church in Greenville, OH officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Quincy. Visitation will be held, Saturday, prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home.
Pam was born September 18, 1948 in Coldwater, MI to Ralph & Betty (Fillmore) Worst. She married Keith Loomis on September 21, 1996 in Angola, IN. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2018.
Pam graduated from Wrights Beauty Academy in Battle Creek. She worked at various local salons, but primarily at Kathy’s Beauty Mall, retiring in July of 2018 after 51 years.
Pam enjoyed birds and cats and the simple beauty of flowers. She was a very artistic and creative person, with a flair for decorating and enjoying many crafts. Above all else, was her love of family and friends.
Pam is survived by her children Brian (Linda) Cekander, Darin (Shannon) Cekander, all of Coldwater, her stepchildren Nick (Jackie) Loomis of Quincy, Alan Loomis of Napoleon, her siblings Dawnette (Jim) Lantz of Greenville, Sheryl Mowry of Coldwater, Greg Worst of Jackson, Jesse (Cindy) Abbott of Cincinnati, OH, Cody (Tim) Abbott of Chicago, IL, Robin (Pedro) Rosario of Raleigh, NC, her grandchildren Samantha, Dusty, Tyler, Nicklos, Jordan, Nickole, Noelle and Jeffery; 5 great grandchildren and many special brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Keith, she was preceded in death by her former husband Mike Cekander.
