Mary M. Lynd, 80, of Coldwater, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2019 at her home.
The funeral service will be held Friday, April 26, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Aaron Chittick from St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 4-8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home.
Mary was born July 7, 1938 in Detroit, MI to Richard & Nora (Foster) Thompson. She married David L. Lynd on July 3, 1976 in Quincy, MI.
Mrs. Lynd was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker and worked at Coldwater Service for many years. She was very creative, with a love of art, and operated her own ceramics shop “Lynd Ceramics.”
Mary was a member of the former Reformation Lutheran Church and currently attended St. Paul Lutheran Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping at Potawatomi and traveling to Florida. Mary loved playing games and cards, especially Euchre. She loved dogs, having bred and raised them for years. Mary’s greatest joy was her family. She treasured most, the time they spent together.
Mary is survived by her husband David, her children Debra (Jim Rosenberry) Roberts of Cadillac, Rick (Michelle) Lynd of Deland, FL, Derek Lynd of Coldwater, Jeff (Stephanie) Lynd of Montgomery, her daughter-in-law Kari Roberts of Coldwater, her grandchildren Sarah, Rebecca, Jonathan, Nicholas, Erik, Shannon, Matthew, Alexander, Dylan, Logan and Cara and her great grandchildren Michael and Andrew. She was preceded in death by her son David Roberts and her sisters Dorothy and Charlotte.
