Obituary for Mark Anthony Posante

Mark Anthony Posante, 60, of Port Huron, formerly of Coldwater, passed away Friday, June 21, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, June 27, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Harold Jewell from the Oasis of Love Church officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home.
Mark was born April 14, 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio to Raymond and Dorothy (Spilker) Posante. He drove truck for many years in Texas and most recently for McIntyre Asphalt in Port Huron. Mark was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed fishing and camping at his brothers. He had a huge heart and a great love of children, not only his own, but others. Mark was always giving to his grandchildren and their friends and classmates. He always wanted to make sure no one was left out, especially when it came to treats at his grandkids school. He treasured the time he spent with his family. His grandchildren were his life.
Mark is survived by his step children Dan (Heidi) Russell of Columbus, OH, Scott (Dee) Russell of Port Huron, his brothers and sisters Steven (Barb) Posante of Coldwater, Dorothy Barrow of Coldwater, Dan (Kim) Posante of Quincy, Reyne (Pete) Yockey of Coldwater, Raymond (Gary Samok) Posante of Brooksville, FL, Eva (Dan) Speaker of Union City, Gert (Jack) Longrey of Coldwater, his grandchildren Lexus, Trinity, Dylan, Aiden, Hannah and Wade, his aunt Betty Kiefer of Cleveland, OH, his many nieces and nephews, his former wife Patty Russell of Bradenton, FL, his former mother and father-in-law Pat & Tim McIntyre, many special former brothers and sisters in-law and his beloved cat “Smoky”. He was preceded in death by an infant sister Dorothy Ruth Posante, both parents, brothers-in-law Jess Barrow and Jim Trousdale and sister-in-law Mary Posante.
