Marjorie Jane (Bates) Nedell of Bradbury, CA passed away Monday, December 9, 2019. Marj was born August 23, 1930 to Rudell and Neva (Crawford) Bates in Coldwater, MI. Marj was a graduate of Coldwater High School and worked at Federal-Mogle before marrying Charles Edward Nedell of Brooklyn, NY. He preceded her in death on January 5, 1992.
Marj is survived by her children, Tammy (James) Scanlan of Medford Lakes, NJ, David (Missy) Nedell of Dighton, MA and Craig (Ann) Nedell of Bridgewater, MA; her sister, Alice Pew of Three Rivers, MI; her grandchildren, Ryan (Jessica) Johnstone, Kyle Johnstone, Maegan Nedell, Derek Nedell, Adam Nedell, Alexandra Nedell and Carly Scanlan; and great granddaughter, Caitlin Johnstone.
Marj was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles; her sisters, Jean Teachout and Norma Szafranski.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to everyone at Royal Oaks and Bradbury Skilled Care for taking good care of Marj in her later years.
A graveside service for Marjorie J. Nedell will be held Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Lockwood Cemetery in Ovid Township.
