Obituary for Marilyn Ann Piatt

Marilyn A. Piatt, 92, of Bronson, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Parkview Randallia Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Private services will be held with interment following at Bronson Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson. Marilyn was born December 30, 1927 to Joseph and Margaret (Smith) McCandlish in Knox, IN. She was a graduate of Riley High School in South bend, IN and on February 15, 1946 she married Harry Piatt. He preceded her in death on June 13, 2001. Marilyn worked at Douglas Autotech until her retirement. She was a Notre Dame and Chicago Cubs fan. She loved camping with her husband Harry but her true passion was her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was caring, loving, and at times even stubborn, but never-the-less she was a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister that will be missed. Survivors include her children Terry (Doris) Piatt of Ft. Wayne, IN, Brenda (Rick) Cline of Osceola, IN, Rollie Piatt of Bronson, MI; her sister Elaine (Sherm) Borders of Mishawaka, IN; 4 grandchildren Tamara (Dave) Taner, Greg (Angie) Piatt, Chris Cain, Adam Cain; 9 great grandchildren, and her loving nieces and nephews. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harry, and her daughter Diane Piatt.
