Margaret A. Popovich, 93, of Coldwater Michigan, died Friday December 18, 2020, at Drew’s Place of Coldwater. She was born December 9, 1927, in Mt. Pleasant, PA.
She was the daughter of the late William and Anna (Danko) Grindle. Margaret attended and graduated from Hurst High School.
She later met and married Joseph B. Popovich on September 3, 1951 in Mt. Pleasant. Margaret was employed by Frick Community Health Center for many years until her retirement in 1989. She attended and was a member of Visitation R. C. Church of Mt. Pleasant. In 2006, Margaret moved to Coldwater to be near her family.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph (Bernadette) Popovich of Coldwater, MI and Robert (Patti) Popovich of Las Vegas, NV. Three grandchildren, Stephanie Aughenbaugh, Christianne McAlinden, and Stephen Popovich. Four Great grandchildren, Eleanor (Ellie), Sophia, Samuel, and Charlotte. Margaret is also survived by one brother John (Jack) Grindle and his wife Phyllis and a sister, Elizabeth (Goldie) Zemba, all of Greensburg, PA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph B. Popovich, her grandson, Jason Popovich, four brothers, William R. Grindle, Russell W. Grindle, Arthur B. Grindle, George Grindle, three sisters, Eleanor Foriska, Marie Roach, and Betty Jane Grindle.
According to Margaret’s wishes there will be no public viewing. The family asks that you make contributions to a charity of one’s choice.
The family would also like to express their sincere thanks to Margaret’s caregivers at Drew’s Place of Coldwater and Heartland Hospice for her excellent care. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
