Obituary for Makia Dominique Franks

Makia Dominique Franks, 33, of Bronson, passed away unexpectedly, on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at her home.
A celebration of Makia’s life will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 12 Noon at the Coldwater Eagles. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Makia was born November 10, 1988 in Coldwater, MI to David & Cheryl (Crabill) Franks. She graduated from Bronson High School in 2007. After high school, Makia worked for Bronson Veterinary Clinic for 7 years. She had a deep love for animals, especially her pets and horses.
She had also worked at Walmart Distribution Center for a short period of time. In 2017, Makia started working for BISD where she discovered her true calling to become a bus driver. Makia was also a lunch room monitor at Legg Middle School. She truly loved her students and being a part of their daily lives. Makia spent her summers working for her parents produce stand “The Farmer’s Daughters”. She was an active member of the Coldwater Eagles where she had made many great friends and enjoyed spending her time.

Makia is survived by her parents David and Cheryl Franks, her siblings Joscelyn (Jason) Davis of Bronson, Nathanael Williams of Coldwater, Mikala Franks of Coldwater; grandparents Mike and Esther Franks of Coldwater, Joanne Keckler of Sturgis; former sister in law, Lyndsay Williams of Coldwater, nieces and nephews Hannah Davis, Mark Davis, Cameron Torrez, Alivia Williams, Abby Williams and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather Martin Crabill and her uncle Clark Crabill.
