Obituary for Lloyd R. Wood
Lloyd Robert Wood, 85 of Coldwater passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at Borgess Hospital after a short illness.
A private burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family was cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Lloyd was born July 7, 1935 to Roy and Virginia (Hire) Wood in Coldwater. He graduated high school and began a long working career in manufacturing, retiring in 2000. Lloyd attended the United Methodist Church. He enjoyed doing yardwork, hunting, and ice fishing. He was an avid Detroit Lions and Tigers fan. Lloyd lived his life by sticking to a good set of morals, keeping life simple, while being generous and caring.
Lloyd is survived by his sons Steve (Kristina) Wood of Coldwater, Dereck Wood of Garrett, IN; his brother Barry (Mary) Wood of Gregory, MI; his grandchildren Aaron (Jessica) Wood of Coldwater, Brian Wood of Coldwater, Nathan Wood of Quincy, Katie Wood of Battle Creek, Duncan Wood of White Cloud, Elysha Wood of Bowling Green, KY; his great grandchildren Everett, Ellie, Serenity; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
