Lloyd “Nick” Nicholas Sours, 76, of Coldwater, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at home.
Visitation for Nick will take place on Monday, October 7, 2019 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at the funeral home with Gini Toth officiating. Interment will follow at California Corners Cemetery in California Township.
Nick was born on November 15, 1942 to Wilbur and Minnie (Sowle) Sours in Coldwater He married his angel Marilyn Joan Penner on June 28, 1962 in Coldwater and sadly she preceded him in death on January 26, 2008.
He was a longtime automobile salesman, having started at the Buick Dealership in Coldwater and then with Battle Creek Ford, Henkel Auto Group in Battle Creek and he retired from Albion Chrysler on February 1, 2018. Nick had also owned Branch County Auto Sales for many years.
Nick was a former member of the Coldwater Eagles. He enjoyed living on the lake, boating, camping, entertaining and just being outdoors. The neighbor’s knew when Nick was home as Elvis or country music could be heard playing. He loved his dog Bandit and helping anyone in need. Above all else, Nick will be missed for his love of his entire family.
He is survived by his sons; Will (Irene) Sours of Coldwater and Rob (Brandie) Sours of Coldwater, his grandchildren; Clint (Amber) of Angola, Indiana, Christain Sours of Coldwater, Ashlee Sours of Coldwater, Jazmyne Sours of Coldwater and Scot Sours of Coldwater, his great grandchildren; Nicholas Koi Kindig, Julien Sours, Gavin Dickinson and Alexa Dickinson. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Marilyn Joan, his sons Lloyd N. and Jeffrey S. Sours, his sister Rhoda Harmon and his brothers Gerald, Glen and Chuck Sours.
