Obituary for Linda M. (Plaster) Fischer

Linda M. (Plaster) Fischer, 64, of Coldwater, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 in Battle Creek.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Rev. Fr. Paul Redmond from St. Charles Church officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home.
Linda was born November 26, 1953 in Neosho, Missouri to Harold & Constance (French) Plaster.
Linda was a lifelong caregiver. She worked with the mentally and physically disabled for many years at Rest Care in Angola. In more recent years, she worked for St. Charles Borromeo School, providing before and after school, child care. Many of the kids lovingly referred to her as “Miss Linda.” She had a great love of children and was a mother figure to her siblings and her children’s friends as well. Linda had a loving heart and a passion to help others, her door was always open. Linda’s greatest role was having the title of “Grammie.”
Linda is survived by her children Craig (Brooke) Scheidler, Heather Scheidler, Kyle (Rachel) Scheidler all of Coldwater, her siblings Shirley Szafranski of Greenville, Ben (Trish) Randall of Rome, IN, David Randall of Battle Creek, Craig Randall of LaGrange, IN, Connie Atkins of Bronson, Laurie Plaster, Bud Plaster, Jeff Plaster all of Springfield, MO, Mark Bowman of Los Angeles, CA, her grandchildren Hunter & Kalin Scheidler, Lillian & Eli Scheidler, Karson, Kaden and Kameron Scheidler, her former husband Dennis Scheidler of Coldwater, many nieces and nephews including special niece Jamie (Kyle) Ranney. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Don and Gene Plaster.
Memorials may be directed to the St. Charles School Angel Tuition Fund.
