Obituary for Linda S. Gebbink

Linda Sue Gebbink, 64, of Auburn, IN and formerly of Coldwater, passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Auburn Village, surrounded by her loving family.
A funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, January 31, 2020 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Robert Boston of New Hope Baptist Church in Kendallville officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater from 4:00 – 7:00 pm.
Linda was born January 15, 1956 to Homer Green and Murial Greene in Sturgis, MI. Following high school, Linda worked for Kmart, Maple Lawn and also as a cook at Omar’s Bar for over 20 years. On September 30, 1978 she married John Gebbink. He preceded her in death on February 2, 2011.
Linda was an avid pool player, being the league captain for 30 years. She won many tournaments and awards over the years. Linda also enjoyed spending time going fishing with her children, playing bingo, and listening to her scanner. Her true joy in life was her family, especially spoiling her grandchildren. Linda will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her willingness to help anyone in need, and her loving spirit. She will be missed by many.
Linda is survived by her children Amy (Ward) Arjes- Maddox of Peroria, IL, Ann (Jeff) Burgon of Coldwater, Dave Gebbink of Union City, John (Tammy) Gebbink of Coldwater, Don (Miriam) Greene of Churubusco, IN, Kameron (Katie) Gebbink of Battle Creek, and Les (Michelle) Gebbink of Coldwater; her siblings Richard (Katie) Norton, Nancy Reed, and Carol Hart Cummings all of Coldwater, and Gloria (Greg) Vaccaro of Battle Creek; her 29 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband John.
