Obituary for Lance August Herman

Lance August Herman, 36, of Sturgis passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022 surrounded by his loving family at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, IN. A memorial visitation will be held for Lance Monday, August 29, 2022 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson.
He was born September 16, 1985 to Ron and Annette (Dow) Herman in Sturgis, MI. Lance was a graduate of Bronson High School and led a career in management at both Walmart and CVS Pharmacies. He found one of his many joys in the world of sports; whether it was fantasy football, golf, or just catching the ball game with friends and family. University of Michigan, the Miami Dolphins, and the Boston Red Sox were some of the teams Lance enjoyed following the most but he also held an interest for music. He liked a variety of music but what made it even more enjoyable was sharing that with those who mattered most to him. Sports and music were Lance’s joys, but his greatest passion in life was his family, especially his son Koltin. Spending time with his son and being his father was Lance’s greatest accomplishment and a title that he wore proudly among his many others of son, brother, grandson, and friend. Lance was fun-loving, could always be counted on for a smile, and will be missed by so many.
Surviving Lance are his parents, Ron (Annette) Herman of Bronson; his son Koltin Herman of Sturgis; sister Lindsey (Zak) Farlin of Coldwater; his two nieces Brynnlee and Gracelynn Farlin; his grandparents Ron (Judy) Herman, Leroy (Sandy) Dow both of Bronson and his loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Lance was preceded in death by his brother Taylor Lee Herman.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the family to be put towards a trust fund for Koltin.
