Obituary for Karen Lee Snell

Karen Lee Snell, 73, of Coldwater passed away Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Parkview Hospital in Ft. Wayne, IN. In accordance to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family is being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Karen was born October 10, 1949 in Coldwater to Milford “Mel” and Arla (Palmatier) Stockwell. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Spirit in Coldwater and had been instrumental in both the Coldwater and Battle Creek areas Civic Theaters. Her passion and background as a tailor provided unparalleled support in costume design to both theaters as well as the KCC Theater Department. Karen was a sweet and giving woman, generous with her time but even more so with her love. She filled her heart with those she loved most and will be dearly missed as a mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
Karen is survived by her son David (Vance Simmons) Snell of Grand Rapids, MI; her half-brother Mark Stockwell of Denver, CO; her step-mother Mary Stockwell of Denver, CO; her nieces, nephews, shirt-tail cousins and her best friend Marge Harter-Stolk of Kalamazoo.
She was preceded in death by her parents, the father who raised her, Robert Stainoff, her son Jack Hall Snell III, her sister Beverly Latila and her half-brother Martin Stockwell. www.dutcherfh.com
