Obituary for Judith Lee Colvin
Judith Lee Colvin, 73 of Sturgis, formerly of Marion, IN passed away Monday, January 2, 2023 in Sturgis. In accordance to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family is being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Judith was born January 22, 1949 in Marion, IN to Richard & Barbara (Braunlin) Ruth. She married John T. Colvin in 1975 in Marion, IN; he preceded her in death on January 21, 2011. Judith was a loving woman with a servant’s heart. For many years she worked as a nurse at Marion General Hospital where many friendships were made and some of her fondest memories working on the OB floor that she cherished dearly. Judith was a dedicated member of the Upland, IN Chapter Lions Club where she often offered her time to assist with gatherings and meals. She was gifted in the art of crafts and truly adored working with, growing, and caring for gourds. She and John shared a cabin in Upland, IN that they both loved spending time at especially with their family. Judith was a wonderful woman that filled her heart with the love she shared for her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
Judith is survived by her children Richard (Betty) Colvin of Sturgis, MI, Kathy (Barry) Blades of Fremont, IN; her brother Kenneth Ruth; her three grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Kylee, and Jacy Blades and her great grandson Liam Blades.
