Joyce Loraine McNitt, 71 of Coldwater passed away peacefully Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the Laurels of Coldwater.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Lockwood Community Church with Pastor Shayne Looper officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Joyce was born September 28, 1946 to Wayne and Jean (Hungerford) Marks in Benton Harbor. She graduated from high school and began a long working career. Joyce worked in construction, as a Chief Administrator for many years. On May 21, 2004 she married Milton McNitt. He preceded her in death on July 19, 2017.

Joyce was a woman of faith, and a member of Lockwood Community Church. She enjoyed spending time working in her flower garden and going antiquing. Joyce was very outgoing, made friends easily, and got along with everyone. She liked to stop in at nursing homes in Coldwater to lift the spirits of those with few visitors.

Joyce is survived by her siblings Dennis (Patty) Marks of Hobe Sound, FL, Don (Joan) Marks of Coldwater, Brenda Ewers of Coldwater, Susan Stansberry of Battle Creek, and Rex (Debbie) Yesh of Battle Creek; many nieces & nephews; and her dog “Joey”. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Milton; her brother Jim Marks; and her nephew Michael Ewers.
