Obituary for Josephine A. Post

Josephine A. Post, 90, of Coldwater, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in Coldwater. She greatly enjoyed her past 4 years, residing at Masonville Place.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Coldwater with Rev. Fr. Paul Redmond officiating. Visitation will be Friday, June 1, 2018 from 3- 8:00 PM, with the Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM, at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. The family will receive friends on Saturday, prior to the service, beginning at 9:30 AM at St. Charles Church. Interment of ashes will be at Oak Grove Cemetery at a later date.
Josephine was born March 18, 1928 in Coldwater, MI to Joseph & Grace (Barone) Gaglio. She married Mello F. Post on May 14, 1955 in Coldwater, he preceded her in death April 5, 2011.
Mrs. Post was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She worked several years at Federal Mogul prior to her work at the Health Department for 19 ½ years, retiring in 1991. Jo was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church where she was active in the Council of Catholic Women. She dedicated many years of volunteering with the CHC Auxiliary and enjoyed her “Lunch Bunch” and “Birthday” Clubs. Jo enjoyed playing cards, especially Bridge and Euchre and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. Her greatest joy in life was her family. She loved to watch her kids and grandkids play sports and treasured her time with her family.
Josephine is survived by her children Kathy Post of Livonia, Bill (Geri) Post of Coldwater, Patti (Richard) Evola of Louisville, KY, Mike (Lori) Post of Olivet, Kris (John) Jenkins of South Bend, IN, her sister Rosalie Bercaw of Coldwater, her grandchildren Katie, Andy, Amy, Corey, Erin, Lauren, Kalyn, Joe, Courtney and Ashley; great grandchildren Ana, Calvin, Bennett Grace, Sawyer, Reece, Makinley, Taylor, Soren, Jack, Connor, Sutton and Corbett and many special nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters Pauline Lopez, Mary D’Angelo, Catherine Tinervia and brothers Sam and Joseph Gaglio.
