Obituary for Joan M. Yesh

Joan Margaret Yesh, 93 of Bronson died peacefully Thursday, February 3, 2022 while surrounded by all her children.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Assumption Church in Bronson with Rev. Fr. Dan Hyman officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 4:00 -7:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson, with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM.

Joan was born May 10, 1928 to Joseph and Marie (Deck) Seiler in Fort Wayne. They moved to Bronson during the depression. She graduated from Bronson High School in 1946. Joan worked at Lauden’s Department store while in high school. After she graduated, Joan worked at People State Bank as a teller and notary republic.

On May 10, 1947 she married Francis Yesh III at St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church in Bronson. She was a member of the Rosary Society, Child Study Club and the ABWA. Joan loved to travel, visiting 49 of the 50 states as well as spending a lot of time at her cabin in Wellston, MI. She also enjoyed spending time traveling to the area casinos. Her true joy in life was being with her family. Family always came first. Joan was very proud that she lived on the family farm until her death.

Mrs. Yesh is survived by her children Francis, Michael (Teresa), Terry, Robyn (Michael), Dale (Jackie), Mark (Holly), Sherie (Donnie), and Greg (Wendy); 20 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 3 great, great grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews; her sisters Jackie (Elmer) Houghton of Wayland and Marietta (Art) Roushkolb of Las Vegas. She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 59 years, Francis Yesh III; her parents; her brothers John and Joe Seiler; her sisters Dolores Ludwick and Frances Kowalski; and her daughter-in-law Jain Yesh.
