Obituary for Janice A. Hagaman

Janice  A.  Hagaman
Janice A. Hagaman, 77, of Burlington, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2018 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo surrounded by her loving family.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at Burlington Church of God. Interment will follow at Burlington Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.

Janice was born June 10, 1940 to Howard L. Wilkinson and Lena L. (Zimmerman) Wilkinson- Carpenter in Coldwater. She graduated from Quincy High School. Janice was united in marriage to John W. Hagaman on May 9, 1959 in Burlington and sadly he preceded her in death on October 16, 2016.

She worked as a teacher’s assistant at Doris Klaussen Developmental Center in Battle Creek for 32 years. Janice was a member of Burlington Church of God and was also involved as a Sunday school teacher, with their youth group and the Women’s Church of God Group. Along with her husband they were members of the Harper Creek Snowmobile Club. Janice enjoyed decorating the church, scrapbooking and stamping, flower gardening, watching birds and deer, camping, reading her Bible and other books, cooking and she especially loved children.

Janice is survived by her children; Patty (Roger Cupps) Bell of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Mike (Becki) Hagaman of Burlington and Brian (Jenny) Hagaman of Coldwater, her grandchildren; Andy Fox, Dawn Fox, Audrey Cupps, Trevor (Courtney) Hagaman, Chase Hagaman, Derek Hagaman, Devin Hagaman, Tim (Erika) Nilles, Tyler Nilles and Andrew Peri, her great grandchildren; Alexis Blevins, Sebastian Blevins, Levi Nilles and Oliver Hagaman, her siblings; Joyce Knapp of Quincy, Jenny Boatman of Concord, Lois Myers of Quincy, Dorothy “Dot” (Mark) Taylor of Quincy, Larry (Dawn) Wilkinson of Quincy and Dennis (Sue) Wilkinson of Union City. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, her brothers Raymond and Arthur Wilkinson.
