Jane S. Hoopes, 100, of Coldwater, passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 at Masonville Place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Jane was born March 24, 1921 in Whiteinch, Glasgow, Scotland to Thomas Scott and Mary Ellen Scott (Binks). She married Norman Haines Hoopes on September 26, 1945 in Detroit, MI.
Mrs. Hoopes was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of the Coldwater First Presbyterian Church and the Merry Mixers Square Dance Club. Jane enjoyed crocheting and was an avid reader. She loved spending time outdoors, taking walks, gardening and bird watching.
Jane is survived by her children Carol (James) Burton, Charles Hoopes (Shelby Stanley), Donald (Laura) Hoopes all of Quincy and many grand and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her son and daughter-in-law Rick & Pam Hoopes and 7 brothers and sisters.
