Obituary for Helen Barker
Helen Barker, 85 of Coldwater passed away Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Laurels of Coldwater.
A funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Harold Jewell of Oasis of Love Church officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Lockwood Cemetery.
Helen was born June 19, 1934 to Clyde and Mae (Fields) Fullington in Gray Hawk, KY. She started her family young and was a great stay at home mother. She always wanted to receive her high school diploma, and did later in life graduating in 1989.
Helen loved listening to music. She was always spending her time taking care of others needs before her own. Helen liked doing charity work and helping anyone in need of an extra hand. Her true joy in life was being around her family, especially her grand and great grandchildren. She will be missed by many.
Mrs. Barker is survived by her children Ronda (Carlos) Wallen, Sr. of Coldwater, James (Wanda) Covey of Coldwater, Douglas (Thao) Covey of San Diego, CA, David Covey of Dallas, TX, Vickie (Ray) Conley of Belding, MI, and Paula (David) Lopez of Casa Grande, AZ; her step-children Wayne Rhodes of Quincy, Albert Rhodes of Union City, Lorie Ann Lepart of Indiana, Almona Lynn Williams of Battle Creek, and Frances Rhodes of Indiana; many grand & great grandchildren; and her former husband Dale (Bonnie) Covey of Coldwater. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons Lloyd Covey, Sr. and Jackie Covey; her grandson Louis Dean Covey; and her husband’s Pat Adams and Al Barker.
