Harry Cornell Fallon, III, 74 of Coldwater passed away Monday, February 19, 20118 at his home in Coldwater.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Monday, February 26, 2018 at Dormition of the Mother of God Orthodox Monastery in Rives Junction, with Father Michael Sakran of St. John Chrysostom Antiochian Orthodox Church officiating. Interment will follow at Dormintion of the Mother of God Orthodox Monastery Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater from 2:00 – 6:00 pm.
Harry was born April 26, 1943 to Harry and Anna (Kostun) Fallon, Jr in Troy, NY. On August 19, 1973 he married Nina Jean Purdes in Madison, Illinois. She preceded him in death on June 19, 2005. Due to a job opportunity, they moved to Coldwater in 1974. Harry was involved with many jobs over the years in the Coldwater area. During the past twelve years he has owned an expedited trucking company.
Harry was a man of faith and a long-time member of the Orthodox Church at St. Elias in Battle Creek and St. John Chrysostom Antiochian in Ft. Wayne. He was an Eagle Scout, and later a scout leader for many years. Harry had many interests. He enjoyed playing bridge, where he was a member of many card clubs. Harry liked to spend time biking, canoeing, and walking. He was very involved in politics, volunteering and managing campaigns for the Republican Party. His true joy in life was spoiling his grandsons. Harry will be remembered as a man who never met a stranger.
Mr. Fallon is survived by his daughter Lora (William) Tod and his grandsons Billy & Greg Tod, all of Grosse Pointe. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 31 years, Nina Fallon.
