Obituary for Fred Raymond Norton
Fred Raymond Norton, 69 of Coldwater, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023 at the Laurels of Coldwater. In accordance to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home on Coldwater.
He was born May 2, 1953 to Arthur and Dorothy (Mackowiak) Norton in Detroit, MI. On August 30, 1980 he married Bonnie G. Cipponeri and she preceded him in death. Fred led a varied career history but ultimately retired as a salvage hand from his family’s recycling business. He was a fun-loving man that enjoyed model and classic cars, NASCAR racing, and fishing. Fred was also fond of old western films and classic music; but what he truly loved was time well spent with friends and family, especially road trips with his wife Bonnie.
Fred leaves behind his children Tabitha (Karl) Turner of Whitmore Lake, MI, Robert Norton of FL, Rachel (Curtis Childress) Vernier of Wyoming, MI; his sister Donna Carol of Escanaba, MI; his grandchildren Amanda Turner, Courtney Thomas, Brailynn Vernier, Bryiar Vernier, Ciera Vernier, Breanya Vernier, Natasha Esper, Robert Norton Jr., Logan Norton and Larry Rinesmith; his 9 great grandchildren with one more on the way and his many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife Bonnie, Fred was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Tammy Rinesmith, his grandson Ryan Oesterle, and his siblings.
