Ellen Marie Travelbee, 84, of Coldwater, passed away Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at the Laurels of Coldwater.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October, 4, 2019 at Batavia Cemetery in Batavia Township with Pastor Gene Cobb officiating. The family is being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Ellen was born on August 27, 1935 in Coldwater to Lehman and Elizabeth (Yeakey) Closson. She received her GED through Coldwater School System. Ellen married Rolland Travelbee on March 1, 1964 in Coldwater. She was employed as a quality control inspector with Bronson Precision Products for many years and was a member of First Church of Christ in Coldwater. Ellen enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, fishing, playing badminton, painting and coloring, crafting and collecting angel pins.
In addition to her husband, Ellen is survived by her children; Dale (Kim) Rinehart of Bronson, Linda Watson of Coldwater, Tim (Valerie) Rinehart of Defuniak Springs, Florida, Patty Blossel, Benjamin Blossel, Rhonda Travelbee of Marianna, Florida and Darlene Handy of Quincy, 4 sisters and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 brothers.
