Obituary for Elizabeth Sielken

Elizabeth Sielken, 100, of Bronson passed away on Friday, April 27, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility in Coldwater.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary Assumption Church in Bronson with The Very Rev. Mark Vyverman and Fr. Paul Redmond officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bronson. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 1, 2018 from 2:00 until 8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM, Tuesday at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson.
Elizabeth was born April 27, 1918 to Frank and Bernice (Paprocki) Ludwick in Bronson. She married Albert Sielken on February 5, 1938 and he preceded her in death on June 4, 1992. Elizabeth worked at many area factories over the years including Bronson Reel, Federal Mogel and Bronson Plastics where she retired from in 1986.
She was a lifelong member of St. Mary Assumption Church in Bronson and belonged to their Rosary Society, Christian Services group and cooking for the Soup Suppers. She was also a Golden Eagle member Sturgis F.O.E. #1314, the Sturgis Senior Center and the Bronson Chapter of Mother’s of WWII. Elizabeth was known for making flannel blankets for children and crocheting afghans, dish cloth’s and household scratchers for everyone and anyone. She enjoyed playing bingo, traveling,, walking and going out to dinner. Elizabeth was the 2003 Polish Festival Queen in Bronson.
Elizabeth is survived by her children; Larry (Mary) Sielken of Coldwater, Terry Sielken of Ft. Thomas, Kentucky, Gary Sielken of Bronson, Jerry (Bernie) Sielken of Waianae, Hawaii, Dennis Sielken of Bronson and Debora Fergeson of Bronson, her 15 grandchildren ,17 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert, her granddaughter Alisha Sielken, 6 sisters and 3 brothers.
