Obituary for Elizabeth A. Erickson

Elizabeth Anne Erickson, 69, of Coldwater passed away Monday, April 8, 2024, at Drew’s Place of Coldwater after a long battle with Tardive Dyskinesia and Dementia.

Cremation has taken place and arrangements have been entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home.

Elizabeth was born March 7, 1955, to John and Betty (Shealer) Crouse in St. Joseph, MI. She graduated from Michigan State University.

Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her family, volunteering for her children’s and grandchildren’s activities, needle point, watching Disney movies, reading, gardening, and going on boat rides at the lake. She also liked to take ice cream trips and going on her “local restaurant tour” trying the different restaurants in town.

Elizabeth loved Christmas because it was her chance to show her love of family by filling the living room with so many gifts there was barely enough room to enter. Her Christmas tree(s) was filled with ornaments depicting memories and her love for everything Disney. Disney was her happy place.

Elizabeth’s life was her family.

There was nothing more important to her than her children and grandchildren. She was well loved and will be greatly missed.

Elizabeth is survived by her children Laurel Walkup of Coldwater and Logan Erickson of Coldwater; her ex-husband, James Erickson of Hot Springs Villages, Arkansas, her brother Robert Crouse of Australia; her grandchildren Rylan Walkup, and Aubrey Walkup; her nieces and nephews Geoffrey Crouse, Jennifer Crouse, and Jamie Crouse; and sister-in-law Mary Jane Crouse. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her brother John “Jack” Crouse as well as her parents.
