Obituary for Eleanor L. Baysinger
Eleanor L. Baysinger, 82, of Coldwater, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the Laurels of Coldwater. A private memorial service will be held for Eleanor at a later date. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Ms. Baysinger was born to Jesse and Violet (Van Bibber) Smith on December 31, 1937 in Evansville, IN. She was a graduate of Reitz High School and had continued on to honorably serve her country in the United States Army. Eleanor had worked as a dental hygienist, but finished her career as a mail carrier in Coldwater for 35 years until her retirement. She married Dave Stachowiak who preceded her in death. In 1978 Eleanor married Richard Baysinger who also preceded her in death.
Eleanor was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed going to casinos, crocheting, and playing bingo. She had the opportunity to travel to Ireland and absolutely loved it; Eleanor was also a collector of crystal Scottish terriers, but her true passion was her children and grandchildren.
Eleanor is survived by her children, Lea (Gary) Banks of Cadillac, MI, David (Lou)Stachowiak of Beaverton, MI, Keith Stachowiak of Middletown, OH, Mary Wallace of Coldwater, Elizabeth (Owen) Samuels of South Bend, IN, Cynthia Johnston of San Francisco, CA; her siblings Leslie Smith of Milwaukee, WI, Joseph (Patti) Smith, Diane (Richard) Lynch, Thomas Smith, Rhonda Bowling all of Evansville, IN, Becky (Steve) Bellinger of Fremont, IN; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, her loving nieces and nephews, and her very close friend Saqer Damiri of Coldwater.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters, and five brothers. www.dutcherfh.com.
