Drenda S. Woodard, 74, of Coldwater, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall. A memorial service for Drenda will be held Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Lockwood Community Church with Pastor Shayne Looper officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 12:00 noon until time of service at the church. Cremation services have been provided by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Drenda was born October 16, 1946 in Coldwater, MI to Roy & Harriet (Paradine) Houston. She retired from Alliance and Associates after many years of service. Currently, Drenda was working at the Coldwater Meijer store.
Drenda was a member of Lockwood Community Church. She enjoyed arts and crafts and especially liked to scrapbook. Most of all Drenda adored her family and loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
Drenda is survived by her daughter-in-law Cassandra Gibson of Coldwater, her grandchildren Erika Bates, Dominick Gibson, Adison Gibson, her brothers Eldon Houston of Midland, MI, Lewis (Sandy) Houston of Smithfield, VA and many special friends, including Barb Parks and Patty Hefner. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son Derek Gibson in 2017.
