Doris L. Lampman, 90, of Parma, formerly of Coldwater, passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022 at her home.
The funeral service will be held Friday, August 26, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Dan & Melody Buehrer officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home.
Doris was born September 3, 1931 in Litchfield, MI to Avery & Charlotte (Poling) Johnson. She married Peter L. Lampman on June 23, 1950 in Litchfield. He preceded her in death on December 15, 1999.
Mrs. Lampman was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker, selling AVON while being a stay at home mom. After raising her family, she worked at the former Coast to Coast Hardware in Coldwater and the Wal Mart deli and bakery. She spent many years working at Wal Mart, receiving the employee of the month award numerous times.
Doris was a member of the Coldwater First Baptist Church and also attended Spring Arbor Free Methodist Church. She was actively involved with her children and their many activities while they were growing up. She served as a 4H leader, teaching many children to cook. Doris enjoyed sewing, making much of her children’s clothing. She had a beautiful garden and canned much of what she had grown. Doris was devoted to her family and treasured the time they spent together, especially her grand and great grandchildren.
Doris is survived by her children Pamela (Jack) Morrison of Quincy, Gloria (Steve) Boszor of Kendallville, IN, Holly (Don) Sichta of Cheboygan, Gail (Mark) Henderson of Lakewood Ranch, FL, David (Judy) Lampman of Bedford, TX, Sally (Jim) Weber of Parma; 15 grandchildren – Byron, Elishia (Austin), Kari (Jeremy), Brandon (Amanda), Don, Stephanie (Dan), Kelly, Erin, Mark (Jamie), Justin(Stephanie), Tia, Tylar, Bliss (Ryan), Owen (Molly), Lelah and 20 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandchildren Joshua Gallup and Stephen Lampman and all her brothers and sisters.
