Obituary for Donna F. Brown

Donna F. Brown, 86 of Coldwater passed away Friday, April 08, 2022 at Grand Vista Assisted Living in Coldwater.

A memorial Mass will take place at 11:00 am on Monday, April 18, 2022 at St. Charles Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Dan Hyman officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the Mass beginning at 10:00 am. Burial will take place at a later date at Sacred Heart of Jesus Cemetery in Hot Springs Village, AR.

Donna was born January 9, 1936 to Elwin and Anna (Tainter) Guiff in New Haven, IN. Her parents both passed away early in her life, so Donna was raised by her grandparents John and Hattie Guiff. On April 16, 1955 she married the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Brown in New Haven. Donna started her work career at IBM in Ft. Wayne before moving to Coldwater where she worked for 20 years at Climax Metals (now HC Stark) before retiring. Together they made many memories. They lived in Hot Springs Village in Arkansas for 25 years.

Donna was a woman of faith and a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, and playing cards with family & friends. Donna always put the needs of her family first in her life. Her true joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her husband of almost 67 years, Robert Brown of Coldwater; her children Linda (Stan) Robinett of Coldwater, Victoria Goebel of San Antonio, TX, Mark (Teresa) Brown of San Antonio, TX, Patricia (Denny) Iott of Boston, MA; and Sandra (Scott) Watson of Oak Grove, MO; her grandchildren Cory (Melinda) Robinett, Dana (Jim) Hess, Erin (Derrick) Veysey, Sarah (Sean) Umstead, Kristen Brown, Devan (Juan) Oviedo, Chelsea (Michael) Tindall, Eric Iott, Rochele Watson, Sarah Goebel-Cunnis, and Jeffory Goebel; 22 great grandchildren and her close cousin John (Janet) Reid.
