Obituary for Dawne D. Knapp
Dawne Diane Knapp, 86, of Coldwater, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023 at her home.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Lockwood Community Church with Pastor Shayne Looper officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 12:00 Noon until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Card Cemetery in Bethel Township. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
She was born November 14, 1936 in Sturgis, MI to Arthur and Ethelyn (Flint) Barnes. She married Wendell Knapp February 11, 1956 in Angola, IN. He preceded her in death on February 27, 2017. Dawne was a faithful member and served as the secretary at Lockwood Community Church for many years. She held a passion for the outdoors as she enjoyed gardening and fishing and she was also a talented baker.
Dawne is survived by her sons Michael (Gracelyn) Knapp of Beijing, China, Scott Knapp, Jeff (Linda) Knapp both of Coldwater; her brother Ted (Sharon) Barnes of Coldwater, her sister in law Loretta Maloy of Aimes, IA, her brother in laws Gary (Connie) Knapp of Cadillac MI, Danny Priddy of Orland, IN; her grandchildren Dalyn (Kris) Cummings, Tanya (Tim) Wickey, Saralyn Knapp, Josiah Knapp, Cadence Knapp; her great grandchildren Harper Cummings, Kinley Cummings, Aurora Wickey, Miles Wickey, Scarlett Wickey Theo Wickey and her loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Dawne was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Bruce and Steven Barnes, her sister Beth Priddy, brother in law Steve Maloy and her sister-in-laws Pam and Carol Barnes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Lockwood Community Church.
