Obituary for Daniel L. Junker

Daniel L. Junker, 74, of Bronson, passed away Monday, February 5, 2018 at Kairos Dwelling Home in Kalamazoo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of Assumption Church in Bronson with Rev. Fr. Paul Redmond officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 4-8:00 PM, with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm, at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson.
Daniel was born September 21, 1943 in Terre Haute, IN to Lloyd A. & Margaret Ann (Shassere) Junker. He graduated from Bronson High School in 1961 and earned his Associates Degree in Auto Body from Ferris State. Dan married Barbara J. Rzepka on September 28, 1963 in Bronson.
Mr. Junker worked in maintenance at various local manufacturers. He was an active member of St. Mary’s Church where he was involved in many activities and fundraisers. Dan belonged to the Branch Co. Antique Car Club. One of his favorite pastimes was to restore and work on old cars.
Dan is survived by his wife Barbara, his children Christina (John) Petry of Wayland, Paul D. Junker of Palm Springs, CA, his siblings Michael (Marcia) Poling of Carmel, IN, Phyllis (Larry) Youse of Richland, his brothers-in-law Edward Rzepka of Coldwater, Anthony (Kate Bercaw) Rzepka of Bronson and his grandchildren Kelsey Petry of Farmington Hills, Benjamin Petry of Wayland and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to Kairos Dwelling Home, St. Mary’s Church or the Branch Co. Humane Society.
