Obituary for Daniel D. "Dan" Dean
Daniel “Dan” Dale Dean, 75 of Bronson passed away peacefully Sunday, July 04, 2021 at his home while under hospice care and surrounded by his loving family.
In following his wishes, cremation has taken place and Dan’s family will have a celebration of life on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at Occasion’s Hall located at 430 W. Chicago St in Coldwater from 4:00 – 7:00 pm with a time to share memories with everyone at 5:00 pm. The family was cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Daniel was born September 9, 1945 to Dale and Colleen Dean in Lincoln, NE while his father served in the military. In 1968 he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine license from Michigan State University. Shortly after he moved to Denver and started Alameda East Veterinary Clinic, selling the business in 1973 to return to work with the family business in the Coldwater area. Dan worked for many years in real estate and as an auctioneer.
Dan was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing, and golf. He also liked spending time reading and listening to music. Dan will be remembered for being an intelligent and determined man. He was a natural leader who could have a conversation with anyone who was willing to talk and listen. Dan’s true joy in life was being with his family. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Daniel is survived by his children Dustin Dean of Los Angeles, CA, Courtney Dean and Christopher (Seanna Rice) Dean all of Coldwater; his siblings David Dean of Antigua, Guatemala, and Cheryl Parks of Coldwater; his grandchildren Mia & Gavin Dean, Riley & Jordan Rakocy, and Cale Dean; his special friend Susan Mitoska; and his cat “Rowdy”. He was preceded in death by his parents.
