Curtis Lee Collyer, 34 of Coldwater passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 27, 2018 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 2:00 – 6:00 pm, with a sharing time at 5:30 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. Cremation will follow the visitation.

Curtis was born December 1, 1983 to Arthur and Debra (Loop) Collyer in Battle Creek. He was a hardworking man, where he helped with the construction of the PepperCo USA building. Curtis has been employed at Carpenter Creations for the past 2 ½ years focusing mainly on pipe setting on various construction projects. He was engaged to be married to Niccole Dwater of Coldwater.

Curtis always put his family first. He enjoyed listening to music, especially while driving his truck. Curtis was proud of keeping his vehicle in excellent condition, with a well-equipped sound system. His true joy in life was spending time with his children. Curtis will be remembered as being a loving dad with a big heart and an outlandish sense of humor. He will be missed by many.

Curtis is survived by his fiancée Niccole Dwater of Coldwater; his ex-long-time companion Sherry Alblas of Coldwater; his children Justis Collyer, Jordayn Collyer, Kollion Peterson, Zachary Winger, Izzabella Kinney, and Bradley Kinney all of Coldwater; his siblings Dusty (Tracy) Burke of Battle Creek, Diamond (Josh) Tyndall of Ludington, Mitchell (Cheyann) Collyer of Stafford, VA, and Jonathan (Karen) Edwards of Coldwater; several aunt, uncles, nieces & nephews; his dog “Harley”; and his best friends JR Edwards and Grant Wilson. He was preceded in death by his mother, his grandparents, and his uncle Don Gillette.
