Obituary for Clifford Joseph Wyss

Clifford J. Wyss, 89, of Coldwater, passed away Friday, May 29, 2020 at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Coldwater with Rev. Fr. Dan Hyman officiating. A public visitation will be held Monday, June 1, 2020 from 4-7:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. Private interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Masks and social distancing will be encouraged.
Cliff was born January 17, 1931 in Allen Co., IN to Albert & Monica (Harkenrider) Wyss. He married Monica Rumschlag on June 1, 1957 in Decatur, IN.
Mr. Wyss worked in food distribution for Seyfert’s Foods and Archway Cookies from 1963 until his retirement in 1992.
Cliff was a member of St. Charles Church where he was active with the Knights of Columbus, 4th Degree. He enjoyed fishing summer and winter, playing cards and was quite the handyman. He loved gardening, maintaining a very large one for many years and donated much of the produce to the food pantry. Cliff loved to socialize, especially with a cold beer, but his greatest joy came from time with his family and grandchildren.
Cliff is survived by his wife Monica, his daughters Joanne French of Grand Rapids, MI, Carolyn (Joel) Grigg of Massena, NY, Janet (Kirk) Wiersma of Schoolcraft, MI, Mary (Lawrence, Sr.) Delgado of Dover, DE, his siblings Marion (Karla)Wyss of Ft. Wayne, IN, Gerard (Karen) Wyss of Ft. Wayne, IN, Theresa (Carl) Sorg of Monroeville, IN, Evelyn Beam of Ft. Wayne, IN, Lourine Brososky of Ft. Wayne, IN, Lurana Travis of Springdale,Arkansas, his grandchildren Katy, Daniel, Teresa , Stephen, Lawrence, Jr., Monica, Cecilia, Jared, Joseph and Madeline; great grandchildren Ainsley, Easton, Anya, Zachary, Noah, Ezra, Natalie, Ronald, Beau and Benjamin. He was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters Ronald, Gerald, Maurice and Linden Wyss, Rita Wicoff, Jane Jackson, his son-in-law James French and his great granddaughter Samantha Tesno.
