Charlotte was born at home on August 20th, 1936 to Elmer and Helen (Davis) Blain on Adams Road in Gilead Township. She graduated in 1954 from Bronson High School and worked for the telephone company in Coldwater for two years. She married Kenneth E. Duncan on May 26th, 1957, and spent two years in California while Ken served in the United States Marine Corps. They returned to Michigan to keep the family legacy of farming alive. Char started at a very young age working on the farm with her Dad. Farming, raising cattle and being outside was her passion, and every summer she got the best tan anyone would want! Family was important to her, whether it be Friday night suppers, watching her Granddaughter show horses or taking a weekly ride with her to see the cattle in the pasture. She was also an avid reader of romance novels in addition to watching and feeding the colorful birds. She also enjoyed her many travel adventures with her husband. Char was a dedicated TOPS member for 23 years, and a Branch County 4-H volunteer for over 25 years.

Charlotte is survived by her daughters Terri Jo (David) Smith, Carri Lynn (Rob) McCollough and son Barry Duncan, Granddaughter Cheyenne McCollough and Grandsons LD Smith and Ruger Ranney, Sisters Barbara Bucklin and Judy Jo Hurley, and several relatives.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth E Duncan, parents Elmer and Helen (Davis) Blain, in laws Basil and Ethel (Craft) Duncan, sister Janice (Blain) Baranouski, brother in laws Max Bucklin, Duane Baranouski and Mike Hurley, sister in law Juanita (Duncan) Adams, and nephews Steven and Rex Adams, and a few life-long friends.
