A memorial service will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 4, 2021 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Aaron Chittick of St. Paul Lutheran Church officiating. Visitation will be held, prior to the service, beginning at 12:00 pm. Interment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Carol was born July 13, 1934 to Charles and Dolores (Messman) Ort in Woodburn, IN. On September 14, 1952 she married Carlton Unroe. He preceded her in death on April 11, 1989. While Carlton was in the military, Carol worked for a short period in Montana at a local hospital. After the military, they moved back to Coldwater and she worked at Bargman & Co. for about 10 years. Carol then decided to be a stay at home mom, concentrating all her efforts on being the best mom possible.
Carol attended St. Paul Lutheran Church. She enjoyed word search puzzles, reading, and watching television. Carol always put the needs of her family first. Her true joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Carol will be remembered for her spunky spirit. She will be missed by many, most especially her sister to whom she talked to everyday.
