Obituary for Beverly Ann Olney

Beverly Ann (Stetler) Olney 89, of Girard passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022 at Drew’s Place of Coldwater. Funeral services honoring Ann’s life will be held Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Sean LaGuire officiating. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery in Girard Township. The family will receive guests for visitation Monday, January 2, 2023 from 4:00-7:00 PM and again Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 10:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
She was born January 25, 1933 in Quincy, MI to Coral R. and T. Ethelena (Cerrow) Stetler. Ann graduated from Quincy High School in 1951. On November 10, 1951 she married William C. Olney in Quincy, MI and he preceded her in death on September 21, 2006. They began their married life together in Quincy but would ultimately move to the family farm in Girard. They enjoyed traveling to Florida during the winters together and were both members of the Girard United Methodist Church as well as the Country Couples. Ann liked to sew, cook, quilt, work on puzzles, and watch and feed the birds; she held a special place in her heart for small animals especially cats. Ann devoted her time as a 4-H leader for many years but what she truly loved above all was spending time with her family.
Ann leaves behind her three daughters Karen (Randy) Travelbee of Coldwater, Kathy (Tim) Musser of Quincy, Kris Shafer of Quincy; 4 grandchildren Jeremy (Mindy) Travelbee, Jason (Darcy) Travelbee both of Quincy, Aaron Musser of Lancaster, OH Amy (John) Conley of Coldwater; her 7 great-grandchildren Abigail and Brady Travelbee, Austin and Audrie Musser, Julia and Benjamin Travelbee, and Makieha Conley.
In addition to her husband William of 55 years, she was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Barbara Johnson-George, her great granddaughter Aurora Conley, nephew Ron Johnson, and her son-in-law Clair Shafer.
Memorial donations are suggested to the Branch Area Rescue Coalition in Coldwater or to the Girard United Methodist Church.
