Betty J. (Hyska) Aleman, 91, of Bronson, passed away Sunday, December 26, 2021 at Grand Vista in Coldwater. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 31, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of Assumption Church in Bronson with Rev. Fr. Dan Hyman officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 4-7:00 PM, with the Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM, at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson. Betty was born October 6, 1930 in Branch County, MI to William Leo and Clara (Herman) Losinski, Sr. She married Casimir Hyska in 1948. He preceded her in death in 1971. She then married Epifanio “Ollie” Aleman on May 6, 1972. He preceded her in death on February 10, 2019. Betty was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She worked briefly at Douglas, Bronson Plastics and Bills Steak House. Betty spent several years delivering the Shoppers Guide, with the help of her step sons and her husband Ollie. Betty was raised on several farms around Branch County, and remembered cleaning the cream separator and butchering chickens. She also learned how to cook on a wood stove at a young age. As the oldest of 7 children, with the first 5 born within 6 years of each other, Betty took on the role of caregiver for her younger siblings when her mother took a job in the factory. She was also a caregiver to her husband Kayo, for 13 years, while raising her own children. When she married Ollie, she was truly a mother to her step children as well. As a prayerful, woman of faith, Betty had strong convictions and was always giving of herself for others. Betty went out of her comfort zone to be part of the Bronson Polish Festival’s Beautiful Busia Contest, winning the title of Bronson’s Most Beautiful Busia in 2013. Betty took great pride in her home. She was known for her immaculate house and for her early morning baking, where lots of delicious chocolate chip cookies, snickerdoodle cookies and paczki doughnuts were made. Betty and her husband Ollie made many fun memories on their vacations to Florida and Texas and were often found spending time on their front porch. Betty is survived by her children Walter Hyska, Robert (Barbara) Hyska all of Bronson, Mary (Todd) Fieberkorn of Sturgis, Joe (Cathy) Aleman of Waterford, Todd Aleman of Kissimee, FL, Bradley (Kristy) Aleman, Bobby Aleman all of Bronson; her siblings Norma Klavinski of Coldwater, Carolyn “Tootsie” (Gary) Lash of Tampa, FL, Janet Losinski of Bronson; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to both husbands, Betty was also preceded in death by her siblings William (Vera) Losinski, Jr., Marlene (Floyd) Sikorski, Alvin (Diane) Losinski, her daughter-in-law Rueanne Hyska, brother-in-law Stanley Klavinski and infant granddaughter Gabrielle Aleman.
