I have such fond memories of French class with Mrs Odren. She was always so cheerful and enthusiastic that her classes were a favorite. I was a mediocre French student at best, but her patience and sweet nature kept me in four years and I can still hear her voice correcting pronunciation. I was class of 1988 so if anyone doubts that teachers impact for LIFE I’m here to say otherwise. Forever grateful to you Mrs Odren.

Mrs. Odren was absolutely one of my favorite teachers at CHS. I loved listening to her stories in that lovely accent of hers! I have thought of her often over all of these years. A toast to you Mrs. Odren—you are adored and remembered! ❤️ Class of ‘88

Mrs. Odren was my French teacher at CHS and I have many fond memories of her, including our trip to France and England. I still tell stories to my family about my adventures in France with my classmates and of course, Mrs. Odren. My love of the language and French culture came from her and I send my condolences to her family and friends.

I am so deeply sad to lose Beryl. She will be dearly missed by her friends in Florida and her leaving makes a hole in our winter times. For the last 15 years, she and John were my parents' (Kurt & Margarete Skyba) wonderful neighbors.

Beryl was a dear person, with such a dry sense of humor, who loved a good debate. She and John were very close friends of my parents and me. I spent many Christmases with her and John, while visiting my mom and dad. I wish I could express how deeply her loss will be felt. My deepest sympathies on the loss of such a wonderful wife, mother and grand mother. It's always too soon to lose a remarkable person like Beryl and we will miss her always.
